At Florence, the Buffaloes led third-ranked Jarrell 16-11 after the opening frame but the Cougars pulled away with a 23-2 second quarter to remain undefeated on the year.

Matthew Mellette led Florence (14-14, 7-7 with 10 points but Jarrell's (28-0, 11-0) Morgan Cooper dropped 24, including three 3-pointers.
