At College Station, A&M Consolidated used a big first quarter to set the tone against Belton, pulling off the lopsided win to stay with the rest of the pack atop District 12-5A.
A&M Consolidated (18-8, 4-3) is now tied for third place with Copperas Cove, which lost Friday to Harker Heights at home.
Belton (9-17) fell to 1-6 in district play.
Meghan Braeuer’s hot shooting continued, as she led Belton with 24 points, including 7-of-8 free throws. Dasia McCray added seven points, while Torie Henderson had six.
