BELTON — One night after hitting 10 3-pointers, Belton could not keep its hot shooting going.

The Lady Tigers only hit four treys and a change in defense in the fourth quarter proved to be a mistake as Manor defeated the Lady Tigers 42-37.

"I don't know if it is because we have played so much in the last few days, but it was just low intensity," said Belton coach Randy Bell. "We just missed easy shots and didn't communicate."

Manor jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter, but could not hold it as Meghan Braeuer, who led Belton with 11 points, hit two 3s to tie the game at 10.

After Dasia McCray got a putback and put Belton up 14-12, Manor did not take the lead again until Kayrin Moore hit a 3-pointer from the corner with nine seconds left in the game.

Manor was down 29-25 entering the fourth quarter, but outscored the Lady Tigers 17-8 in the final frame.

"When we got out of zone and went to a man, they got dribble penetration on us," Bell said. "We tried to get something going and it didn't work."
