Belton 69, Copperas Cove 63 — At Belton, with time running out on his team’s chance to make a comeback, Bulldawg coach Billy White decided to start fouling.
The only problem? Belton was hitting its foul shots. The Tigers (11-12, 2-4 12-5A) shot 26-of-44 from the free-throw line as they dispatched Copperas Cove (13-12, 1-5).
Sean Voss led Belton with 24 points and Jacob Whitman added 17. Ricardo Artis led the Bulldawgs with 18 points and Jonathan Bridges had 16.
